Did you know the MBA has a collection of local, Monmouth photos? Well, you do now! These phots are availalbe for local businesses and organizations to use for their advertising purposes.

Signs are a HUGE part of advertising for your business. And they can sure be expensive. So, before you purchase, make sure your signs are compliant with city code.


2C1C (2 Cities 1 Community) is a local online news publication that is sent through the Chamber of Commerce. It hosts a variety of local news, events, and information. And one of the best parts for business owners? Businesses in Monmouth and Independence can advertise in it for FREE.  Simply send your advertisement to marilyn97351@gmail.com by the 25th of each month.

Wondering how to advertise an event your business is doing? One of the ways to let the community know is by adding it to the Community Calendar run through the chamber of commerce. Anyone can submit an event, you don’t have to be a chamber member. (Also be sure to send information about your event to 2C1C.)

Knowing what steps to take to start, and then grow, your business can be difficult. We get that, we’re right ther with you. Thats where the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) comes in. They have adivsors who are experienced in running businesses to help you along your journey.

Polk County Community Card

The Polk County Community Card is an e-gift card that can be used at any participating location in Polk County.

Benefits to Business owners? It’s free advertising for your business and costs absolutely nothing to participate. You only need two things:

  1. You need to be located in Polk County
  2. Your business must be able to accept credit cards by phone.
