Halloween Spooktackular FAQs

When and Where?

Beginning at 4:00pm on October 31st, Halloween Spooktackular begins at Main Street Park in Monmouth and spans the entire downtown. There will be pop-up booths along Warren Street by the park and as well as stops in the local businesses that are downtown.

Do we have to start anywhere in particular?

Nope! You and your family can go in any order you would like. Just be sure to also stop by the Senior Community Center’s Dia de Los Muertos celebration!

What's the cost?

Nothing. This event is completely free and open to the public. We do accept (and very much appreciate) donations, but it is certainly not a requirement.

What's going on at the Senior Community Center?

We’re glad you asked! The Senior Community Center, located just off Main Street, is hosting a Dia de Los Muertos offerenda and is open to everyone to enjoy!

I want to get as much candy as possible, how do I do that?

The secrete to scoring as many sweets as possible is to not only visit our downtown event, but also take the trolley to Independence’s celebration as well.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains, we party in the rain and the candy will taste even sweeter for having earned it! There will also be many businesses along Main Street, as well as the Senior Community Center, that are open to come in and warm up in before heading off to the next stop.

What if I don't like candy?

That’s fair. Not everyone has a sweet tooth. There will also be businesses providing crafts, activities, and small toys. Many of the downtown businesses will also be open and serving their normal wares.
